RAINIER FAMILY PHYSICAL THERAPY CONTINUES TO BE ACTIVE IN THE COMMUNITY
FREE UNIVERSITY
Kim Bisson, MPT and co-owner, is offering a class for Free University. Free University offers classes for the community taught by members of the community. Kim's class, April 26th, Fit For Fun, is about your general condition for all the fun in your life. Great for weekend warriors, and those that see the sun and want to embark on a journey of active, physical activity. Kim's upbeat attitude and humor, makes any time with her an enjoyable experience. Catalogs of all class offerings are available here at the clinic, or view online at www.freeunw.com
STATIONARY BIKE-A-THON
Rainier Family Physical Therapy has held this community fundraising event for the last 2 years raising almost $12,000. Next year's event will be held October 1, 2011. Hope to see you there.
We also hosted the first Wii Bowling Tournament for the teams of Legacy for a Cause (LFC). This was held on March 7th at Rainier Family Physical Therapy to focus on fun and raising more money for their charities. We pledged so much per strike and spare and challenged other sponsors to do the same. Please view the following link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuEQk1xzFhw
COMMUNITIES
IN SCHOOLS
RFPT patients generously donated so
many school supplies for the
Communities In Schools. We were
happy to be a collection site and help
out the students in our community.
GRAHAM FOOD
BANK
Rainier Family Physical Therapy was a sponsor for the Graham Cross Fit Cowbell Competition. Our clinic donated food for the food raising event along with free consultations.
PUYALLUP FOOD
BANK
Each quarter, Rainier Family Physical Therapy collects donations for the Puyallup Food Bank. In January, we collected peanut butter, a staple of protein for families. Interesting to note that 1052 jars of peanut butter lasts only 2 months at the food bank.
In April, we are collecting toliet paper, full size bars of soap, laundry detergent, dish soap, and shampoo. Currently, their greatest need is the toliet paper and bars of soap. our patients have been most generous with their donations.
In July, we collected peanut butter and jelly, enough to feed 66 families. Picture to come.
